Ofir Hagay

Founder / President & CEO

President & CEO of Moonwater Capital, Ofir Hagay has over 25 years of experience in real estate development, international business, executive management, and business consulting. Throughout his career, Mr. Hagay has been an entrepreneur and visionary in the real estate industry. With significant project management experience in the construction and real estate business, Mr. Hagay has a proven track record of success.

He has won the Israeli Trade Award for significant contribution to the Israeli Economy.

A world traveler, Mr. Hagay has lived and operated businesses in Israel, Africa, Central Europe and currently in the United States and Eastern Europe.

He has successfully founded numerous companies and developed many partnerships in his real estate career. Mr. Hagay was one of the principals involved in some of the most successful condominium conversions in Las Vegas and Henderson.

In 2004, Mr. Hagay was one of the principals involved in the highly successful 400+units condominium conversion of Park 1 at SummerlinGate, Las Vegas, as well as the conversion 320 units, Avalon at Seven Hills, Henderson.

Park 1 was purchased with $9 million in owner’s equity and a $39.5 million loan from Corus Bank. Gross proceeds at sell out exceeded $88 million. The successful rate of sales at Park 1 resulted in the payoff in full of the acquisition loan in just 15 months. The overall project achieved a 25% internal rate of return for the partners.

His current investments include Rainbow Sunset Pavilion, Red Rock Business Center, The Gramercy, and The Lennox.

The commercial real estate industry has honored Mr. Hagay’s excellence in office building operations & management with the most prestigious recognition for Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) Awards twice.

Mr. Hagay’s other business endeavors include partnering and consulting in many different industries with well-known companies and partners/clients that include John Deere, USAID, Seaboard Corporation, Volvo Trucks and Bosch. His many years of international business experience included the ownership and management of office buildings in Bulgaria where he successfully leased the buildings to Price Waterhouse Coopers and to the Embassy of the European Union to Bulgaria for ten years.

Bobby Stoyanov

Chief Operating Officer

Bobby has been involved in real estate investment, project management and development in the United States and overseas for more than 20 years. He is licensed commercial real estate agent in New York and Nevada.

In 2008 Bobby has set up Low Heights Ventures (LHV). The company manages 200,000 square feet of commercial real estate in Bulgaria. LHV does investment sourcing and due diligence for foreign institutional investors in Bulgaria.

Between 2005 and 2008 he was Executive Director of Prime Property BG REIT, the first Bulgarian REIT and one of the largest by market capital. Bobby was responsible for some of the fund’s most profitable projects and was instrumental in attracting foreign institutional investors.

Prior to Prime Property BG Bobby was Manager of the Space Management Office of Cornell University Medical College in New York City, managing more than 2 million square feet of prime real estate.

Bobby holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from New York University Stern School of Business.

Gal Hagay

VP of Marketing & Office Manager

Gal Hagay was born in Israel and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria before moving to Las Vegas in 2004.

She attended business school in Boston and graduated from Babson College, the No. 1 school in the United States for entrepreneurship.

Through Babson College Gal had the opportunity to consult for Monster Energy, Ocean Spray Cranberries, as well as work for Fring, a tech company based out of Israel. The mobile VoIP company started in Tel Aviv with more than 40M users worldwide, was acquired by Genband for $50M within a year of Gal working for them.

Her passion for music and entertainment led Gal to work for Life is Beautiful, an annual three-day music, culinary, art, and learning festival held in downtown LV & backed by Tony Hsieh. Gal was able to transition from a marketing/operations intern at LIB, to working for the startup festival post graduation, full-time in a business development position.

During her time at Babson College, Gal was also one of 20 students selected to pilot the “Study Away” program and study entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation while living in San Francisco for a semester. While living in the Bay Area, Gal worked for a real estate tech startup, Theo, where she focused on improving the company’s customer engagement and growth through marketing and branding.

Ms. Hagay has been working for Moonwater Capital for the past two years and a part of the company since its inception —involved in all aspects of the Fund, focusing on marketing and the day-to-day operation of Moonwater Capital. 

Andy Glendon

Chief Legal Officer

Andrew J. Glendon heads Santoro Whitmire’s transactional and business law practice. Mr. Glendon has a wide variety of experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate and limited liability company law, real estate transactions and tax law. Mr. Glendon has been selected as a Rising Star by the Super Lawyers Mountain States magazine for the past several years, and is a frequent lecturer and contributing author on business, real estate and tax law issues.

Mr. Glendon was born and raised in the San Francisco, California, Bay Area and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree (With Distinction) in 1998 from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Glendon was a member of the Pacific Law Review during law school, serving as Chief Legislation Editor, and obtained practical legal experience while clerking for several law firms in Sacramento, California throughout law school. Mr. Glendon obtained his LL.M. degree in Federal Taxation from New York University School of Law in 1999, during which time he clerked for a major international law firm. Prior to relocating to Southern Nevada in 2000, Mr. Glendon represented corporate clients in the Silicon Valley during the height of the “dot-com” boom, and gained vast experience in a limited amount of time working on pre-IPO capitalization and restructuring transactions.

Mr. Glendon currently maintains a broad transactional and business practice. He previously represented mainly developer-based clients in all facets of their projects, including syndication, acquisition, development and high-end leasing matters. In addition to continuing to represent clients in such matters, Mr. Glendon has more recently become involved in representing clients in loan-workout transactions, as well as providing support in complex business litigation matters and bankruptcy workouts. Mr. Glendon is able to add value to his clients’ transactions based on his knowledge and understanding of the Federal and State tax laws.

Mr. Glendon is licensed to practice in California and Nevada.

Karim Almasry

SVP, International Business Development

Mr. Karim Almasry is Senior Vice President of International Business Development & Investment at Moonwater Capital.

He is an accomplished Retired Captain of the Egyptian military.

Mr. Almasry currently serves as Private Advisor to HRH Prince Mansour Al Saud of Saudi Arabia

Danny Hughes

VP Digital and Family Office

Daniel Hughes is one of the most sought after and in-demand strategic business advisors – consulting, coaching and guiding numerous founders, CEO’s, business owners, family offices, social entrepreneurs and innovators, to improve messaging, leverage technologies, build organizational synergies, accelerate revenue and drive growth.

In 2003, he co-founded Broadlook Technologies and in the span of a decade, tens of thousands of global users recognized Broadlook as an innovation leader in real-time data crawling, parsing and aggregation to power leading recruiting and HR, B2B sales and marketing, and data service operations.

Today, Dan is active on boards of non-profit endeavors and directs his active consulting practice towards social entrepreneurship initiatives; helping our Military Veterans identify the resources they need to transition after service, physicians and residents learning the life and business skills they need to succeed in their career in medicine, Equity Crowdfunding to drive capital and client acquisition in the Life, Health and Sustainability sectors.

Most recently he has partnered with an award winning single Family Office in the country to launch a multi-family structure and solution, Engineered Family Office.  EFO will deliver superior Tax Compliance and Consulting to the ultra-high net worth professionals, athletes and celebrities, single, multi and real estate family and investors.

Dan guides and advises Moonwater Capital in digital branding, technologies and access to capital within the Family Office and investment communities.

Raphael Wu

Member of the Advisory Board

Raphael Wu is a managing partner/responsible officer in Mount Logan Capital, a Hong Kong SFC regulated corporation with Type 4 (advising on securities) and Type 9 (asset management) licenses. He has devoted his professional service in investment management for the last 20 years and has extensive experience in asset allocation, product structuring and selection across fixed income, equities and direct real estate investment. In his professional experience since 2000, Raphael has direct asset management responsibilities of over USD2bn for sovereign and large financial institutions. He is well recognized in the industry and was awarded with numerous
fund awards.

Christopher Yip

Member of the Advisory Board

Christopher has been investing in international real estates since 2005. His experience covers evaluation and project structuring. Christopher has over 20 years in business consulting and investing and was elected one of “TopGun Investment Minds of Asia” by Brendan Wood International in 2011 & 2013. Christopher obtained a B.S degree from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and an MBA from INSEAD.

Cathy Jones

Member of the Advisory Board

Cathy Jones has extensive experience in finance and commercial real estate, with an emphasis in investment sales, financial oversight of real estate and investment holdings, property management, leasing, real estate market analysis, contract negotiations, financing, corporate cash management, and business development.

In 2003, Ms. Jones moved into the field of commercial real estate brokerage with a focus on investment sales. Within 2 years, Ms. Jones and her Investment Services Group achieved top performing year-end awards. Since that time, Ms. Jones and her team have closed in excess of $1.4 Billion in commercial sales transactions. Ms. Jones formed her own commercial real estate firm, Sun Commercial Real Estate, Inc., in 2006. The company is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada and has satellite offices in Scottsdale, Arizona and Newport Beach, California. Sun Commercial is the number one woman owned brokerage in the greater Las Vegas marketplace. In 2009, Ms. Jones expanded the Property Management capabilities of her companies through the formation of Sun Property Management, LLC. The Property Management company currently manages almost 5 million square feet of commercial real estate.

Prior to stepping into commercial real estate, Ms. Jones started her career at Deloitte and earned her public accounting certification in 1984. Ms. Jones joined the Nevada Title Company family of companies in 1984 as Chief Financial Officer. During her tenure as CFO, Nevada Title Company achieved and maintained its position as having the number one market share, and Ms. Jones led the effort to establish Westcor Land Title Insurance Company in 1993. During her term as President of Westcor, the Company became licensed in 22 states and operated in six.

Professional Affiliations & Designations

Ms. Jones has served as a Community Board Director for Wells Fargo Bank of Nevada since 1997. She was elected to the Board of Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance in 2017. She has served as President and Treasurer of the Southern Nevada Chapter of CCIM and achieved her designation as a CCIM, Certified Commercial Investment Manager, in 2005. Ms. Jones achieved her SIOR Designation in 2016. She has served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Southern Nevada for the past 30+ years, with positions including Treasurer, Chairman of the Board and Trustee. She serves on the Board of Directors for Commercial Alliance and is currently the President Elect for 2019. Ms. Jones is a 1994 graduate of Leadership Las Vegas and has served on the Advisory Board of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

Cathy Jones has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
